I'm delighted to announce that from 2025, I will be offering private tuition and working one-to-one with students to support their learning. Sessions will be primarily online though some limited face-to-face sessions will be available.
I will be primarily offering tuition for Academic Study Skills and Biology for Access to HE, but I will also be offering tuition for Academic Study Skills for HE (Level 4 and above), as well as Biology and Chemistry at GCSE, and Functional Skills (Level 1 and 2) Maths. For session costs and more information, please explore the page below.
PAY IT FORWARD - I will be offering a 'PIF' option where people can purchase tuition sessions which then get put into a 'pot' for students to use should they feel they would benefit from tuition but may not be able to afford it. Anyone can purchase a PIF session, and there's no limit to how many PIF sessions you can purchase.
If you would like to buy a PIF session to go into the pot, or if you are a student and would like to use the PIF system to cover the cost of a session, please email theaccesstohehandbook@gmail.com with the word 'PIF' in the subject.
Please note that block bookings are available, but there will be no discounts given as this disadvantages those who are unable to afford the more expensive initial cost.

No, and no good tutor should either! Tutors are there to offer bespoke and specialist support to help you to learn, understand and apply knowledge and skills within a framework e.g., Access to HE or GCSE. For this to be a success, you need to work collaboratively with your tutor and engage in your sessions. Ultimately you are the person who will complete the assessment, not your tutor, so the responsibility of the work is yours.
